All full-time students attending the Scranton campus who do not commute daily from the home of their parent(s) or legal guardian must reside in campus housing while actively enrolled. Commuting distance is defined as the following:
Student athletes – 30 miles or less
All other residents – 45 miles or less
A student will be allowed an exception for any of the following reasons:
- Being married
- Being the primary caretaker of dependent children
- Taking only online coursework
- Having earned 60 or more credits
- Having reached the age of 21 prior to the start of the referenced semester
A request for exception for any of the above reasons should be submitted, in writing, to the Vice
President for Student Affairs prior to enrollment.
