Annual Fund

A necessary complement to our endowment, gifts to the annual fund are unrestricted and allow the College to fund emerging opportunities and source programs as needed. These resources are essential for addressing immediate needs that enable Lackawanna College to prosper while serving our students in diverse ways.

Support a Scholarship

Funding a scholarship at Lackawanna College allows students to focus on their studies and reduces the concern of tuition expenses. Supporting a scholarship allows a student to attend the College despite financial hardship as it supplements financial aid packages. Annual scholarships can be established for a five-year minimum commitment of $2,000 annually. These can be named after the donor or to honor another. Endowed scholarships are an investment that lasts for the lifetime of the College. With a $25,000 gift payable over five years, you or your family can establish an endowed scholarship to be named after you or to honor someone else. Such scholarships support the mission of the College and welcome support from family members today and generations to come. A portion of the principal is given to a deserving student in the form of a scholarship each year.

Estate Giving

By including Lackawanna College in your will or estate plan, you can ensure the future of our institution with a legacy gift and be recognized in our Anthracite Society. Gifts of cash, stock, or property, as a beneficiary to life insurance policies, or life-income gifts are all ways you can support the College through planned giving. Kindly fill out the form or call Mariellen Walsh, Director of Leadership Giving, at (570) 961-7895 or walshm@lackawanna.edu to discuss your planned gift intention.
