Part 3 – March 1, 2021 – March 14, 2021 – Now Closed

Lackawanna College has received funding through the CARES Act Emergency Relief Grant Fund. Funding will be used to provide emergency grants to college students whose lives and education continue to be affected by the coronavirus outbreak in the spring 2021 semester. Funds can be used for educational expenses such as tuition, food, housing, course materials, technology, and child care expenses. Loss of job or income alone does not meet the eligibility requirements for CARES Act Funds.

Current Pell Grant eligible students can apply for CARES Act funds via the portal. All students that are eligible to apply will find the link when they are signed into the portal in the message section at the top of the page. The maximum amount will be determined once the application closes on March 14th. The minimum amount awarded will be $120. Students may elect to pick up the check, have the check mailed to their home, or apply the funds to their balance.

If you receive this email, you are eligible to apply. Application does not guarantee acceptance and funding is limited. The application will be open through March 14th and funds will be distributed by the end of the month. Further questions should be sent to the emergencyfund@lackawanna.edu.
