With the fall semester now underway, College officials want to remind students about the numerous resources and services available on the College’s portal that can help them during their academic journey.

“Whether someone is a first semester student or has been here for several semesters, we want students to know we have services geared toward helping them be successful,” said Lackawanna College President Dr. Jill Murray. “Our student portal has wealth of student resources including information about courses, advising, financial aid, graduation, wellness and other support services. The portal is a good one-stop shop that can be a starting point for obtaining vital information. Students are also always welcome to visit, call or email us with their questions.”

New students will need to activate their portal accounts. The main page of the portal provides students with instructions on how to create and activate their accounts.

Once logged in, students will have access to their course schedules, emails, Office 365, IT support and other personal information. From the portal, students can also access Lackawanna College’s social media channels, sign up for emergency notifications and access their online classes.

There are also links to the Math and Writing centers, Admissions, Registrar, Career Services and other resources. Additionally, students can access library services, find out who their student government representatives are and look for tutoring help.

The College has a section on the portal for its Student Wellness program, which is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles, positive choices and total wellness for all students.

Students can gain access to local resources to overcome a number of issues including relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, identity issues, stress management, substance abuse and more. All Student Wellness Program services are free and confidential for Lackawanna College students and there are resources available at the main campus and the centers.

Students can also get information about the College’s Food Pantry, health services and homeless services under Student Wellness.
