Lackawanna College to Complete Semester Online, Transition Staff to Work from Home
SCRANTON, Pa. – March 16, 2020 – Lackawanna College President Mark Volk announced today that course instruction will continue online through the end of the semester amid coronavirus concerns. The College had previously announced that its courses would be held online through April 5 after its extended spring break.
Over the next few days, the College will transition to its plan for employees to work from home. Lackawanna will be running business as usual in a remote setting. “We came to this decision to be proactive in protecting, as much as we physically can, the health and safety of all members of the College Community and their families,” said President Volk.
Additionally, the College is canceling or postponing all College activities through June, including its Commencement ceremony.
Lackawanna College is not aware of any confirmed cases of COVID-19 among the College Community at this time.
