More About the Program

Through a diverse curriculum, students will learn career-related skills like management, business law, accounting and more. Our well-rounded approach to developing this degree will produce dynamic graduates and career-ready employees.

The knowledge gained in our business degree helps take students far in their future careers, but learning isn’t limited to just the classroom. Business students are required to complete internships, giving them relevant experience for their careers before they graduate.

Students working toward their bachelor’s degree in business will:

  • Prepare for a career in business leadership by applying fundamental management techniques through coursework and internship opportunities.
  • Interpret financial data to determine profitability, productivity and strategic planning.
  • Analyze business promotion through advertising, marketing, customer service and core goals of consumer industries.
  • Recognize the global perspective on business principles and practices.

Although this is a four-year degree program, it’s incredibly flexible and allows some students to earn their degree faster. Students have the option to take summer session and intersession courses helping them complete the program in as little as three years!

Students can also take a Marketing Concentration, exploring contemporary issues in marketing and integrated communications for public, private, profit and non-profit organizations in various industries.

This concentration provides students with an understanding of the relationships among organizational cultures, consumer behavior, consumer psychology and the marketing mix. The curriculum emphasizes research, theory and practice regarding promotional methods, target markets, branding and customer value.
