A One-of-a-Kind Fine Dining Experience

Located in downtown Scranton, 409 on Adams is the student-run restaurant at the Kiesendahl School of Hospitality at Lackawanna College. Operated and managed by culinary and hospitality students, the restaurant serves as an instructional environment, providing students with real-world experience.

Under the observation of chef instructors, students prepare modern and classical menus, manage inventory, create beverage menus, hire staff and create exceptional guest experiences. Each dining experience promises new, bold cuisines and styles along with a selection of beer, wine and specially crafted cocktail selections to pair with creative menus.

The Marketplace at 409 on Adams

409 on Adams now has an online store! The Marketplace at 409 on Adams sells professional quality merchandise, culinary and pastry creations, and a line of pet treats produced by students. The e-commerce store also serves as a place to find recipes and cooking tips from the restaurant’s faculty and student chefs, current food trends, and restaurant news.

Monday: Sharpen your skills with how-to videos to learn culinary and baking tips and tricks firsthand from our expert chefs.

Tuesday: Ask questions and get answers from the experts. Post your questions in the comments of our Tuesday posts and we will answer them LIVE on Thursdays during Chef Sessions Live at 8 p.m. weekly.

Wednesday: What’s in Your Pantry? Comment with ingredients in your pantry that you just don’t know what to do with. One of our chefs will give advice and recipes to help you create delicious dishes with pantry staples.

Thursday: Chef Sessions Live! with Chef Susan C. Markovich will answer your posted questions from Tuesday and take live questions every Thursday at 8 p.m.

Sunday: Sunday Funday is the best day of the week and the best day to cook with your kids! Each Sunday we will post a recipe that you can make with your littles.

Lackawanna College is closely tracking coronavirus (COVID-19) and working to mitigate potential risks. The safety of students and our customers is a top priority. Out of an abundance of caution, our spring 2020 restaurant schedule will be postponed until May 8.

Live Station Dining | POSTPONED

Our interactive classroom really gets creative with this dining experience. Our students showcase their talents in the form of live action stations, hot and cold displays, carving stations and dessert displays. This is one you do not want to miss!

This evening is $39 per person, plus tax, gratuity and bar purchases. All nonalcoholic beverages are included in your pre-fixed price.
