ADMISSIONS POLICY

Students

Attention:
The Lackawanna College Admissions Office
has relocated to the Main Campus Building
at 501 Vine Street, Scranton PA.

Lackawanna College offers an ‘open’ admissions policy. This policy affords every individual an equal opportunity to set educational goals that are attainable and challenging. All admissions standards and policies prohibit discrimination on grounds of race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, age, religion, creed, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, marital status, veteran status or any other factor protected by law. Physical and/or instructional limitations of the College may compel restricted admission in certain curricula.

By making an application to Lackawanna College it is understood the applicant is consenting to a criminal background check.  While the institution does offer open enrollment, Lackawanna College does reserve the right to deny admission to applicants who are deemed to not have the minimum academic ability to successfully complete course requirements or who may put the Institution, its employees or students at risk.
Lackawanna College encourages students to concentrate on career goals in the pursuit of their college education. Admissions advisors are available to assist individuals of every age and academic background with admission to courses and programs suitable to their interests and aptitudes. Every attempt is made to provide a full complement of courses in selected degree programs at the Hazleton, Lake Region, New Milford and Towanda centers. However, degree candidates should plan on attending the Main Campus to complete program requirements in curricula that may not be available at the other centers.

*Transcripts and other all other enrollment documents submitted for review will become the property of Lackawanna College and cannot be returned to the applicant.
