    Welcome Weekend

    Welcome to the beginning of your Lackawanna College experience! Our Welcome Weekend is designed to provide all of our new students with the information they need to flourish as they start the year. Explore campus, meet our staff, hear from President Mark Volk and ask questions. Whether you’re studying for a bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or professional certificate, we’re proud to count you as one of our Falcon family. Get ready to #LiveIn3D with us!

    Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 - New Resident Move-In Day

    9 AM – 1 PM: New Resident Check-In
    Angeli Hall front lobby, 501 Vine Street.

    1 PM: Parent Information Session
    Reception Hall, third floor of Angeli Hall, 501 Vine Street.

    1 PM: New Resident Student Brunch
    Dining Commons, Culinary Center second floor, 409 Adams Avenue.

    2 – 4 PM: Free Play in the Esports Facility
    Commuters and residents are invited to participate in some of today’s top video games along with our esports athletes!
    Esports Facility, first floor, Angeli Hall, 501 Vine Street.

    4 – 6 PM: Resident Student Dinner
    Dining Commons, Culinary Center second floor, 409 Adams Avenue.

    8 PM: Resident Student Social
    Students are invited to celebrate their first night on campus in
    Seeley Hall, 406 N. Washington Avenue.

    Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020 - Falcon Fest - Live In 3D: Dream. Discover. Do.

    Important College offices open from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

    10:30 AM: Check-In
    Angeli Hall front lobby, 501 Vine Street.

    11 AM – NOON: Welcome Program for New Students
    Peoples Security Bank Theater, Angeli Hall, 501 Vine Street.

    NOON – 1 PM: Lunch
    Dining Commons, Culinary Center second floor, 409 Adams Avenue.

    NOON – 2 PM: Women’s Basketball Game
    Student Union, 500 Jefferson Avenue.

    4 – 6 PM: Resident Student Dinner
    Dining Commons, Culinary Center second floor, 409 Adams Avenue.

    7 PM: Residence Hall Activities
    Students will participate in a variety of activities in Seeley Hall, 406 N. Washington Avenue.

    Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020 - The Final Countdown

    Important College offices open from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

    10 AM – NOON: Information Session for New Resident Students
    Peoples Security Bank Theater, Angeli Hall, 501 Vine Street.

    11 AM – 3 PM: Returning Resident Student Move-In
    All returning resident students will report to Public Safety, 540 Wyoming Avenue.

    NOON – 1:30 PM: Resident Student Brunch
    Dining Commons, Culinary Center second floor, 409 Adams Avenue.

    2 – 3 PM: Academic Information Session for New Resident Students
    Angeli Hall, 501 Vine Street.

    4 – 5 PM: Intramurals
    Student Union, 500 Jefferson Avenue. Commuters and residents welcome!

    4 – 6 PM: Resident Student Dinner
    Dining Commons, Culinary Center second floor, 409 Adams Avenue.

    6:30 PM: Resident Student Activities
    Events in students’ respective residence halls will include AFC and NFC Championship game watch parties.

    Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day

    NOON – 1:30 PM: Resident Student Brunch

    1:30 – 3:30 PM: MLK Event run by Student Wellness
    Student Union, 500 Jefferson Avenue. Commuters and residents welcome!

    4 – 6 PM: Resident Student Dinner

    7 PM: Residence Hall Activities
    Events in students’ respective residence halls

    Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020 - Spring 2020 Semester Begins

    8 AM: First Spring 2020 Classes Begin

    11 AM – 1 PM: Welcome Back Party

    Cupcakes from Electric City Bakehouse, music, photo booth, caricature artist, club fair, and more!
