    Timely Topics: Prevention of Sexual Harassment

    As an employer, you have a responsibility to maintain a workplace that is free of sexual harassment.

    In this timely topic, you will learn the legal definitions of sexual harassment as well as information that will help you deal with sexual harassment if you encounter it. You will gain an awareness of the elements of sexual harassment, the legal implications for employers and employees, and how to prevent incidents from occurring. You will learn prevalence and causes of sexual harassment, why it often goes unreported, and the steps to take if you experience harassment. You will learn how to respond to reports of harassment. Sexual harassment causes many negative effects in organizations; victims are demeaned, morale is diminished, objectives and productivity are jeopardized, and the potential for litigation is increased.

    This three-hour training program will focus on creating a workplace environment that is not tolerant of sexually harassing behavior. It will increase participants’ knowledge of prevention strategies and establishing a culture of respect.
