    Gainful Employment – Police Academy

    Under emerging Pennsylvania ACT 120 standards, any person employed as a municipal police officer in the Commonwealth is required to have successfully completed a 919-hour course of instruction covering all areas of police work.

    How much will this program cost me?

    Tuition, fees and books: $8,500
    Uniform and equipment (approximate): $500

    Total cost: $9,000*

    What are my financing options to pay for the program?
    Financial Aid is available to eligible applicants. A student may receive a Federal Pell Grant and/or Federal Stafford Loans. In addition to any grant and scholarship aid for which they are eligible, 50 percent of graduates used loans to finance their education.
