Lackawanna College to Celebrate 125th Anniversary at Annual Pop-Up Dinner

SCRANTON, Pa. – Aug. 19, 2019 – The sixth annual Lackawanna College Out of the Blue pop-up dinner and fundraiser will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at a secret location that will be revealed by text message just hours before the beginning of the event.

Last September, the Out of the Blue celebration welcomed over 210 guests with a generous outpouring of support from alumni, faculty, staff and friends. The dinner is the largest fundraiser of the year for the College’s Annual Fund, which supports student scholarships, campus growth, research and development for new academic programs and more.

This year’s event will celebrate Lackawanna College’s 125th anniversary with a decades themed costume contest and a display of the College’s historical memorabilia. Registration includes table, chairs, tablecloths and napkins. Live entertainment will be provided by local favorite, Daddy-O and the Sax Maniax, a twelve-piece high-energy horn band playing hits from the 1960’s to the present day. Guests will bring their own food and drinks, but will have an opportunity to purchase a dinner package from this year’s Out of the Blue partner, Blue Bee Bistro.

The Out of the Blue dinner is open to everyone ages 21 and over. Tickets are not available for sale at the door. All reservations must be made online by Sept. 9.
