    About the Library

The Seeley Memorial Library and Scranton Public Library offer numerous services to the Lackawanna College community, including a joint collection of over 300,000 books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays, ebooks and more. Through our online research databases, we also provide access to thousands of journals, magazines and newspapers. The library offers reference and instruction services to students, faculty, and staff to assist in the development of information literacy skills.

    Our Mission

The Scranton Public Library and Lackawanna College entered into a cooperative agreement in December 2014 to encourage greater student use of the Scranton Public Library as well as providing access for the general public to the College’s Seeley Library resources. Our mission is to combine our services, resources, and space to help maximize the students’ academic pursuits as well as to provide quality resources to the faculty.
