LCEI presents Honey Bees: Tiny Treasures

Join Catherine Hynes of the PA Beekeepers Association on September 29, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. as she discusses the life cycle of Honey Bees, their critical importance in our ecosystem, why they are in peril and many other interesting facts regarding human health benefits. Catherine will also discuss beekeeping basics and will bring in live bees in an observation hive, a smoker and many other tools of the trade. Wonderful products from bees including soaps, balms, candles and honey will be available.

The presentation will take place at the Lackawanna College Environmental Institute, Moscow, PA All Ages are welcome. Registration is limited and pre-registration is required. Cost for the program is $3.00 per person.
