As part of the Office of Advancement, the External Relations staff works with news media and others to showcase the good work of Lackawanna College’s faculty, staff, and students. Our primary mission is to provide accurate and relevant information to the media, the campus community, and the general public.
For the Media
The External Relations Department would be happy to send news releases to members of the media in your preferred format. Please email your preferences to Christopher Hughes, Manager of Web Content and News Service, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please send any interview requests to either member of our staff so that we can properly facilitate your needs.
The media are welcome to attend Lackawanna College events that are publicized as being open to the general public. Prior to coming to campus to photograph, record, or interview faculty, staff, students, and guests, we respectfully ask that you contact Wendy Hinton, Director of External Relations, at email@example.com .

As fellow members of the College Community, we understand how important it is to publicize your upcoming events, honors, and other activities for the news media. We can assist you with your public relations questions at any time and help you respond appropriately to inquiries from reporters and requests for interviews. In order to most effectively assist you, we ask that you provide us with at least 2 weeks notice prior to a scheduled event, as timing can be critical when working with the media. The more lead time we have, the more effective we will be in assisting you with your media relations needs.
