United States Navy Band
Commodores Jazz

Wed., Nov. 4, 2009 @ 7pm

The Navy's premier jazz ensemble, the Commodores, presents the finest in America's truly original music. A specialty unit of the United States Navy Band in Washington, D.C., the group features 18 of the Navy's top jazz and "big band" musicians.

The Capitol Steps
Fri., Nov. 13, 2009 @ 8pm

The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Since they began, they have recorded 29 albums, including their latest "Obama Mia." Don't miss this evening of hilarious musical political satire!

Marian Anderson String Quartet
Fri., Feb. 26, 2010 @ 8PM

For nearly 20 years, the Quartet has brought hope and inspiration to every segment of American society in performance venues ranging from the presidential inaugurals to juvenile correctional facilities. They Continue to uphold their mission: TO create new and diverse audiences for the field of chamber music. This concert is presented in February in celebration of Black History Month. An educational outreach event is also scheduled for 2/26/10.

Route 66

Take a dollop of Grease, mix in some Pump Boys and Dinettes and add a generouse dose of Forever Plaid and you've got the high-octane fun of Roger Bean's Route 66. Featuring hit songs from the late 50s and early 60s such as Dead Man's Curve and King of the Road! (Sunday matinee!)

The Wand'ring Minstrels present
"The Pirates of Penzance"

Don't expect this group to stand still and sing! The Wand'ring Minstrels, the quintet of leading loloists fron the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, present a cabaret version of The Pirates of Penzance. Fans of G&S will delight in seeing this acclaimed company perform favorite moments, characters and songs from the show!! A special audition masterclass will be conducted during the afternoon for local singers - a one-on-one experience with the professionals from NYGASP.
