VST 125 Abdominal Vascular Disease and Assessment Course Objectives
Following completion of theoretical and laboratory learning experiences, the student will be able to:
- List and identify the abdominal vascular anatomy.
- Describe the abdominal vascular physiology.
- Explain the hemodynamics related to abdominal vascular testing.
- Describe various types of abdominal vascular pathophysiology.
- Perform a complete visceral vascular protocol demonstrating gray scale, color Doppler and pulsed Doppler spectral analysis.
- Define the diagnostic criteria and source for abdominal vascular testing.
- List various diagnostic studies for abdominal vascular disease explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each.
- Describe various treatment options of abdominal vascular disease including pharmacology and interventional procedures.
