SD 123 Office Survival Skills Course Objectives 

Students in SD 123 will learn to:

  1. Identify the role and responsibilities of the administrative assistant of today, including the qualities and skills necessary for professional growth.
  2. Use effective communication techniques, particularly proper telephone etiquette.
  3. Handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
  4. Prepare notices for meetings, agendas, and minutes.
  5. Recognize the importance of ethnical behavior within the business environment.
  6. Develop job search and interviewing skills, including the writing of a professional-looking resume and application letter.
