SD 105 Stress Management Course Objectives

  1. To increase the student’s understanding of the nature and physiology of stress, how stress impacts on the individual and his/her family and relationships, job performance, and general level of adjustment.
  2. To help students identify potential stressors and or/sources of stress in their internal and external environments.
  3. To enable students to examine patterns in their lifestyles and understand the relationships between these patterns and stress.
  4. To enable students to identify cognitive processes that create and/or contribute to stress.
  5. To expand students’ intervention strategies for reduction, management, and prevention of stress reactions.
