OT 106 Intermediate Keyboarding Course Objectives:  

Students in OT 106 should be able to:

  1. Improve basic skills on straight, statistical, script, and rough-draft copy.
  2. Produce error-free documents and apply language arts skills.
  3. Format two-page letters and memos, learn special letter parts, and generate envelopes with special notations.
  4. Prepare memos from templates.
  5. Format tables using formulas to perform calculations, sort information, set tabs
  6. Convert tables to text, draw tables, and rotate text.
  7. Format business reports with preliminary pages.
  8. Format reports with endnotes, footnotes, and hyperlinks.
  9. Format documents with graphics and other design enhancements and format reports in columns.
  10. Prepare agendas, minutes, itineraries, news releases, and labels.
  11. Create mail merge documents.
  12. Compose and format employment documents and assess employment skills.
