MG 215 International Business Course Objectives:

An MG 215 student should be able to:

  1. Appreciate the dramatic internationalization of markets.
  2. Understand the profound effect of the Internet on many international business firms.
  3. Understand the five kinds of drivers, all based on change, that are leading international firms to the globalization of their operations.
  4. Understand the international market entry methods.
  5. Appreciate the relevance of the changing status of tariff and nontariff barriers to business people.
  6. Understand the dynamics of international trade organizations.
  7. Appreciate the importance of a country’s location in political and trade relationships.
  8. Describe the main elements of the export sales assistance program of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
  9. Understand the kinds of export documents required.
  10. Appreciate the characteristics necessary to be a successful international manager
