The students will learn:

1. The history of inheritance laws.
2. The purposes of inheritance laws.
3. How to draft a will and the importance of having a will:
   • The different types of gifts which may be given under a will;
   • How to revoke a will and rights that people or entities may have pursuant to a will
   • The probate process.
     
4. How an estate is administered when there is a will and when there is not a will.
5. How to prepare inheritance income tax returns.
6. The benefits of a trust.
