HC 105 Introduction to Ultrasound and Patient Care Course Objectives 

The HC 105 student will be able to:

  1. Discuss ethical, legal, and moral issues as they relate to health careers.
  2. Describe the information included in a patient’s medical record.
  3. Identify, discuss, and demonstrate effective communications styles.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in patient transfer from wheel, bed, and stretcher.
  5.  Demonstrate proficiency in the American Health Association CPR.
  6. Describe the purpose and action of Universal Precautions.
  7. Describe the steps of and measure vital signs.
  8. Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate patient safety procedures and techniques.
  9. Converse using proper medical terminology.
