ENG 102 Fundamentals of Writing Course Objectives

An ENG 102 student should be able:

1. To improve reading, writing and communication skills.
2. To improve sentence editing skills.
3. To understand and generate the writing involved in EN105 and other upper level courses.
4. To recognize strengths and weaknesses in writing.
5. To exercise analytical and creative skills.
6. To make informed decisions on moral questions, particularly those involving plagiarism, cheating and lying.
7. To use the required computer software to complete assignments.
8. To utilize peer editing and revision techniques to develop a better paper.
