ECE 260 Practicum in Early Childhood Education Course Objectives:  

ECE 260 students should be able:

  1. To develop materials and experiences for children based on their educational need in child care centers;
  2. To analyze the needs of these children in child care centers to determine age appropriate methods and materials;
  3. To display knowledge of equipment and how it relates to the learning of the young child;
  4. To apply the principle of structuring activities at the child’s readiness levels;
