CTN 215 Video Production II Course Objectives

1. To advance students' skills in the area of television production.
2. To introduce new technologies and utilize them in production.
3. To blend skills learned from audio production for use in production.
4. To continue to help students articulate a greater understanding of the reciprocal nature of media and culture.
5. To further students' skills in critical thinking by providing an assortment of theories and arguments and the opportunity to apply them to specific and concrete examples and observations.
6. To encourage students to become involved in their academic and local communities.
7. To demonstrate effective research and information management skills.
8. To demonstrate perseverance and learn from mistakes as students self-direct life-long learning.
9. To utilize various forms of print and electronic references, evaluating each of these for logic, validity, and reliability.
10. To compose in an electronic environment and using the resources of word processing software to improve writing.
11. To compose work to be included in Student Credential Portfolios.
