In COM 225, students will be
- acquiring an advanced understanding of public speaking delivery skills and use them when presenting.
- developing advanced knowledge on how to use language to maximize presentation speaking skills.
- learning to understand their own public speaking strengths and weaknesses.
- effectively using stories and metaphors in public speeches.
- utilizing multi-media software in public speaking presentations.
- understanding the listening process and knowing that “effective speaking” depends on “effective listening”.
- practicing the “fundamental principles” of speech preparation and organization:
- Finding a subject
