BIO 220 Microbiology Course Objectives: 

  1. To discuss characteristics of the different classes of microbes
  2. To discuss morphology, size, genetics, and growth requirements of microbes
  3. To list medically important microbes and the medical disease(s) caused by each
  4. To perform common microbiology laboratory techniques, such as microscopic viewing of microbes, sterile technique, culture techniques, staining methods, fermentation using microbes, and other special identification tests.
