BNK 118 Money and Banking Course Objectives

After successfully completing this course, a student will be able to:

  1. Describe how commercial banks “create” money
  2. Identify the tools of monetary and fiscal policy
  3. Summarize and better interpret major trends and issues in banking
  4. Relate bank operations to the U.S. payments mechanism
  5. Compare and contrast various types of financial institutions.
