Residence Hall Schedule

RESIDENCE HALL OPENING / CLOSING DATES AND BREAKS 2008-2009 Academic Year

  • Football Team residents arrive for football camp –Wednesday, August 13, 2008 9 AM to 4 PM. Football camp is BY INVITATION ONLY
  • Soccer, Volleyball, and Cross-Country residents check-in – Monday, August 18, 2008 9AM to 4 PM. By invitation only.  
  • All other residents – dorm check-in - Wednesday, August 27, 2008 9 AM to 4 PM
  • New Resident Orientation- Thursday, August 28, 2008, 9:30 AM, Mellow Theater
  • Dormitory Orientation- Thursday, August 28, 2008, 5:00 PM, Lyceum, Student Union Building
  • Freshman Orientation- all new freshman - mandatory program - Friday, August 29, 2008 10:00AM Mellow Theater
  • Fall Semester begins September 2, 2008
  • Thanksgiving Break: Closing – 11 PM November 25, 2008, opening 12 noon November 30, 2008
  • Christmas Break/Fall 2008 Closing: - 11 PM December 12, 2008 or 24 hours after last final.
  • Intersession 2009 Opening: January 4, 2009 Noon to 4 PM (for students registered for the Intersession only)
  • Intersession begins January 5, 2009
  • New resident check-in for Spring 2009 semester – January 20, 2009, 9 AM to 4 PM
  • Orientation for new resident students- January 21, 2009 12:00 PM
  • Spring semester begins January 22, 2009
  • Spring Break: Closing – 11 PM March 13, 2009, Opening March 22, 2009, Noon
  • Spring 2009 Closing: 11 PM May 8, 2009, or 24 hours after the last final.
  • Summer 2009 Opening: 9 AM to 4 PM June 2, 2009 (for students registered for summer session only)
  • Summer 2009 Closing: 11 PM July 17, 2009
