The Career Services Office advises students on selecting a major and provides guidance on scheduling academic electives while at Lackawanna College. 

The primary mission of the Career Services Office is:

• To assist students in determining their personal interests, aptitudes and values 
• To help students to decide on career goals
• To assist students in conducting job search strategies.

Student entry into the labor force is facilitated by providing the following services:

• Assisting students to clarify their career interests and goals
• Gathering information about various occupations
• Developing specific education plans and job search strategies
• Helping students develop the necessary etiquette, communication, writing and interviewing skills to obtain employment
• Advising students on how to develop the necessary employment documentation such as resumes, cover letters, thank you letters, and applications
