  • Undefined career plans
  • Hectic lifestyle
  • Demands of parenthood

ACT 101 provides services that can offset such disadvantages.
Services include:

  • Tutoring in ALL subject areas
  • Academic counseling
  • Career counseling
  • Counseling for personal concerns

ACT 101 also offers a Pre-College Program every summer and intercession.  This program is designed to help students prepare for academic life.   This program includes a FREE three-credit course entitled College Study Skills.   To enroll, students must fill out an application.

ACT 101 also sponsors the Kappa Chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society; it was formed to recognize the academic achievements of students who enroll with ACT 101.

The purposes of the society are:

  • To promote continued high academic standards
  • To foster increased communication among its members
  • To honor academic excellence

Full time students who hold a grade point average of 3.0 for two consecutive semesters are eligible for membership.
