COVID-19 Information

We are doing our best to keep everyone safe and healthy. Lackawanna College has been closely monitoring developments related to Coronavirus (COVID-19). College officials, as well as the Campus Safety Committee, are meeting regularly to discuss the latest information available and develop appropriate responses. This web page will provide valuable content for members of the College community regarding new and updated policies, the number of cases on campus and other related information.

Current Mask Rules

Masks are now optional for all students, faculty and staff at Lackawanna College.

We will continue to evaluate this policy and update it as necessary.

How to Determine if I Should be on Campus?

Students should follow the advice from CDC (linked below) based on their own current vaccination situation. If your situation changes at any point during your quarantine and/or isolation period, please contact the Pandemic Safety Team at pandemicsafetyteam@lackawanna.edu for additional guidance.

HEERF Acknowledgement of Grants

Lackawanna College acknowledges that it has signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the Assurance that Lackawanna College has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 1800(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students. These grants help eligible students pay for expenses related to a student’s cost of attendance and/or emergency costs that arise due to the coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care incurred.
