The Lackawanna College Paramedic Training Institute is an independent authorized Training Center for the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) and offers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer. CPR for the Professional Rescuer is offered both in conjunction with and independent from the Paramedic Training Program. A CPR for the Professional Rescuer course develops student’s core knowledge and skills to meet objectives for successful completion which includes:

CPR for the Professional Rescuer is intended for healthcare professionals, emergency medical responders, or anyone needing BLS training and certification as a job requirement.

Initial certification requires 7 hours of instruction. Renewal CPR for the Professional Rescuer requires half the number hours of initial instruction. Prerequisites for renewal include a current CPR certification (equal to the professional level) prior to expiration.

There are no prerequisites for initial certification in this course.
