Langley Winds to perform at Lackawanna College
SCRANTON, Pa. – Lackawanna College and the US Armed Forces Committee of NEPA will present an evening with the Langley Winds Woodwind Ensemble on Wednesday, March 19 at 7 p.m. in the Theater at Lackawanna College, 501 Vine St., Scranton. Tickets are free, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Since 1995, Langley Winds has been a chamber music component of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band. Its members have matriculated at some of the country’s top music schools including Cincinnati University College-Conservatory of Music, North Carolina School of the Arts, Northwestern University, Northern Illinois University, Brigham Young University, and the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
During their performance at Lackawanna College, a woodwind quintet of Langley Winds musicians will present a collection of powerful music suitable for all ages to enjoy.
