SCRANTON, Pa. – Oct. 22, 2018 –  Representatives from The Foundation for the Jewish Elderly of Eastern PA, Jewish Home of Eastern PA (JHEP), and Lackawanna College recognized two scholarship recipients on October 22, 2018 at the JHEP in Scranton, PA. Through a grant from The Foundation for the Jewish Elderly of Eastern PA, a scholarship will be awarded to six students who will enroll in Lackawanna College’s Nurse Aide Training Program. Each scholarship will cover the full cost of the Nurse Aide Training Program, including books, materials, two uniforms, and physical, certification and testing fees.  Once scholarship recipients complete the Nurse Aide Training Program and become Certified Nurse Aides (CNA), they will have the opportunity to apply for employment at the Jewish Home of Eastern PA.
