The Falcon Ambassadors Club, in collaboration with the Dean of Student’s office, work to build on the already strong sense of community at Lackawanna through advanced leadership opportunities and communication of College policies. The Ambassadors facilitate tours for all incoming students, as well as build strong relationships with the surrounding Scranton area through continued community service initiatives. The organization is comprised of students that are involved in all aspects around campus who come together to serve as hardworking representatives for the Dean of Students Office.
What We Do
FAB Fundraiser | Cake Deliveries
What better way to show appreciation for a student than giving the gift of cake on their special day! We partner with the Pineapple Club who makes delicious cakes for students at the cost of $25. Cakes can be chocolate or vanilla with buttercream or whipped cream frosting. Cakes can be purchased for any reason and will be delivered to them at their dorm or after class.
Interested in purchasing a cake for a student? The Falcon Ambassadors are taking orders for cake deliveries for the 2016-17 school year. If you’re interested in purchasing a cake please contact Associate Dean Larson at email@example.com. Please order 2 weeks prior to the delivery date to ensure that your order can be completed.
Finals Week Survival Packs
As finals approach, students are preparing for the challenging end of the semester. The Falcon Ambassadors Club has created Finals Week Survival Packs that can be purchased and delivered to students during this stressful time. The Falcon Ambassadors are responsible for gathering and packaging snacks, drinks, and other items to deliver to students. Each Survival Pack costs $20, and proceeds benefit the Falcon Ambassadors Club!
If you are interested in ordering one for a student at the end of the semester, you can contact Associate Dean Larson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please contact 2 weeks prior to Finals Week to ensure that the order can be filled.
Tours for Prospective Students
As a Falcon Ambassador, you will have access to training sessions on how to give tours of the school. It is a great way to get to know Lackawanna, and an even better opportunity to share your story with future students! The training session and tours work around your schedule for your convenience.
As a Falcon Ambassador, you and your fellow club members are responsible for deciding what you do and how YOU can make an impact here at Lackawanna College. You will work closely with Student Life Department to help decide what activities to bring to the students and then help promote those events and encourage participation. We are always looking for new ways to help enhance the college experience for resident students and commuters. If you have strong leadership skills or would like to develop stronger leadership skills join the Falcon Ambassadors and put those skills to work.
