    2017 Falcon Baseball Challenge

    2017 Falcon Baseball Challenge

    A Message from the Falcons

The 2017-18 Lackawanna College Baseball Team will hold its Second Annual Falcon Baseball Marathon Fundraiser, competing in 100 innings of baseball, from Monday, October 23rd to Monday, October 30th.

From Monday to Monday, we will be playing 100 innings of baseball which includes 18 innings against Lock Haven University on Saturday, October 29th  and concludes with our Blue/White Fall Intra-Squad World Series on Monday, October 30th.  Fans are invited to watch us play and meet the team at Lackawanna College Field, 401 Jadwin St., Scranton, PA 18509. You can visit the Lackawanna Falcons Baseball webpage for our fall baseball schedule or visit the Lackawanna College Baseball Facebook page for more information on the team.

    Why Donate?

This event will help raise money for our baseball program, especially for our spring baseball trips to North Carolina in February and South Carolina in March to compete against some of the best teams in the country.

We want to continue to develop the Falcon Baseball Program that was 35-17 last year and finished runner up in Region XIX.  During the 2017 season, the Falcons were ranked as high as 13th in the Country and had 14 sophomores commit to play at four year schools.  In addition Jared Solomon was selected in the 11th round of the MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds.

We are asking you to join in our efforts by pledging support for this event. You may make a pledge per inning or a single donation.

If every donor pledged just $0.50 per inning or a total of $50, we would raise our goal of $10,000.
