Recruiting Process
The Lackawanna football program has established a winning tradition on and off the field. In order to continue this tradition our program must be committed to the recruitment of only the finest football players, each and every year.
All recruits must submit the following items in order to be evaluated for a position on our roster.
- All players will provide a highlight or game DVD or VHS from their senior year in High School. (This DVD or VHS becomes property of Lackawanna College and will not be returned.)
- Two letters of recommendation must be included.
- Recruiting material must include player’s position, height, weight, jersey number and jersey color.
- Personal information required;
- home phone number and home address
- cell phone number
- e-mail address
Every DVD or VHS tape will be evaluated by our coaching staff. Players will be rated on a system consisting of a number rating, 1 being the highest rating and 5 being the lowest. Four categories will be evaluated, Speed, Strength, Aggressiveness, and Technique. A written evaluation with coach’s comment will be returned by mail to the address provided.
Players who get a positive evaluation will be asked to arrange a campus visit with our Admissions Office.
Lackawanna College does not except walk-ons due to the high number of players who provide a DVD or VHS tape each year.
If you have any questions regarding the football recruiting process, please call Coach Mark Duda at 570.961.7852. Thank you for your interest in Lackawanna Football.
