Application Procedures

The application process involves submission of the following to the Office of Admissions:

  • An application for admission with a non-refundable $30 check or money order made payable to Lackawanna College.

  • An official high school transcript or GED (a copy of the official diploma and scores). If currently a high school senior, the applicant must ensure that his/her final transcript is on file no later than 30 days following graduation.

  • An official copy of his/her college transcript if the applicant is a transfer student.

  • Official SAT/ACT test scores. Scores reported on an official high school transcript will be accepted. Students may also be required to take the computerized Lackawanna College Assessment Test. Students without current SAT scores (scores received within the last three years) will be assessed by utilizing the Lackawanna College Assessment Test. The Office of Admissions will arrange for testing if required.

  • International students must submit an official report of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores.

  • Secure an appointment with an admissions advisor to determine individual educational goals and selection of a program that will best attain those goals. A copy of the applicant’s Social Security card must be presented at the time of the initial interview.

  • Be required to pay a non-refundable commitment fee of $75 within 30 days guaranteeing a place in the degree program chosen. A check or money order should be made payable to Lackawanna College.
