Accelerated Part-Time Program
Lackawanna College’s Accelerated Part-Time program is an associate degree program designed for working individuals that want or need to obtain an associate degree but are unable to commit to a traditional semester or years of their life towards achieving their goal.
This program will allow for students to complete an associate degree in a little over two years on a part-time basis. Courses will be offered in both the traditional course format (day or evening) and online.
The APT program focuses on five degrees currently offered at Lackawanna:
- Business Administration | Curriculum Guide (PDF)
- Liberal Studies | Curriculum Guide (PDF)
- Human Services | Curriculum Guide (PDF)
- Criminal Justice | Curriculum Guide (PDF)
- Criminal Justice – Police and Security | 18-month track available to ACT 120 program graduates only | Curriculum Guide (PDF)
Students in one of these accelerated programs may be able to save nearly 25% off the current tuition rate if they follow the prescribed curriculum. Traditional financial aid is available for most semesters for those who qualify.
Students applying for this program may also be eligible for credit by exam or life experience credit depending on their past work experience, which could save even more time and money. Contact the Registrar’s Office with any questions on these credit options. More information is available in the College Catalog.
