Community Concerts

The mission of Community Concerts at Lackawanna College is to present culturally significant performing arts programs and serve the Lackawanna College community, local educational community and our residents with educational outreach events to enrich the quality of life in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and to carry on the decades long tradition of concerts under the auspices of “Community Concerts.” Having operated as Scranton Community Concerts for the last 81 years, the organization was officially adopted by Lackawanna College in July 2009 and is now known by its new name: Community Concerts at Lackawanna College.

Each year, Community Concerts at Lackawanna College presents a concert series with a diverse selection of artists from multiple genres.  The series is known for presenting the highest quality artists that are renowned throughout the country and across the globe.  With such a broad offering of concerts, including classical, opera, jazz, musical theatre and world music, the series has something to satisfy every musical taste!

A core series of events is offered from September through May, and the purchase of a season subscription guarantees that you hold the same seats for every event.  Single tickets are also available for purchase.
